I'm surprised that he would tell the average American to expect sacrifice.

I would have thought it would be more along the lines of, "Get ready for free stuff, courtesy of the rich."

James,
I agree with you hook, line and sinker! You are bucking the trend too....of becoming a liberal in college and a conservative when you get a job and are out in the "real world". You are ahead of your time! Well written article and I am proud of you. You could have a future as a conservative pundit someday!

Is there anyone in your club who remembers when Pat Toomey was denied the right to speak at BU, then Ralph Nader gave the commencement speech the same year ? You might be interested in knowing that BU's General Counsel is actively involved in the District Attorney's election this fall. He's the campaign chairperson for the liberal challenger who is sympathetic to Bucknell's needs. This gives all appearances of impropriety, as the list of Donors for this challenger is a who's who list of Bucknell Exectutives and Administrators. Federal Law prohibits Tax Exempt Universities from campaigning for or being opposed to anyone in any election. To say the least, there is friction between the County D.A's office and the office General Counsel for Bucknell University. It's clearly in Bucknell's interest to defeat the incumbent DA, who's made a reputation of being tough on crime, (this includes BU students and Faculty), and sympathetic to Victims. You may want to petition the office Bucknell's President, and insists that the General Counsel (the same person who denied Pat Toomey), cease support of this candidate, and to denounce that Bucknell University is suupporting his efforts.

I was just being sarcastic, implying that Hindus can just pray to a god and have their airplanes fixed, while Christians have to fix it themselves.

I was not insulting Christ's mechanic skills.
