The website has been at least partially restored. We apologize for the downtime.

The new executive board of the BUCC has been elected. They will begin their positions January 1, 2008.

On November 3rd The Counterweight was honored with the Collegiate Network's Paper of the Year Award for 2006-2007. The award was given in recognition of superior content and design.

The Collegiate Network was established in 1979 to focus public awareness on the politicization of American college and university classrooms, curricula, student life, and the resulting decline of educational standards. To achieve this mission, the Network provides financial and technical assistance to student editors and writers at scores of independent publications at leading colleges and universities around the country. The Collegiate Network currently serves 102 member papers. These publications have a combined annual distribution of more than two million copies.

Congratulations go out to all the members who contributed during the past year.

This Saturday the BUCC will be having a small reception for club alums to get to know the current members.

We hope all of you will take some time between 10:30 and 11:30 this Saturday morning to have some breakfast with us and talk about what the BUCC has been up to.

We’ll be meeting up in Willard Smith Library (Vaughn 125, the library on the ground floor near all the English Dept. faculty offices). A group of us will probably go to the tailgate and football game together afterwards, and you’re all more than welcome to join us!
